As Glasgow gets ready to welcome the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, we wanted to keep you updated on a few temporary changes at Glasgow Club Gorbals over the coming weeks, so you can plan your visits as easily as possible.

From 25 June to 13 July, rehearsals for the opening ceremony will be taking place in the tennis halls at Glasgow Club Gorbals. During this time, the venue and surrounding area may feel a little busier than usual, particularly at peak times.

Parking at Gorbals will continue to be reserved for Glasgow Club members and customers, although if you’re travelling by car, it may help to allow a little extra time for your journey and parking.

As some Glasgow Club venues temporarily close to support Commonwealth Games activity, from 8 July to 4 August, there will also be some changes to the swimming timetable, and the pool areas may be busier than usual at certain times of the day.

To help you plan ahead, we recommend checking the latest swimming timetables on the Glasgow Club app or online booking site before travelling, as these will contain the most up-to-date information throughout the Games period. If there are swimming sessions, classes or activities you’d like to attend, you may find it helpful to book in advance through the app, online booking site or the venue team, as bookings are available up to 8 days ahead and can help make your visit as smooth as possible.

We’ll also be extending our fitness class timetable, with some classes relocated from venues supporting the Games, giving you even more options and flexibility to book classes and stay active.

Thank you for your support while Glasgow prepares to host this exciting event. We look forward to continuing to welcome you to Glasgow Club Gorbals throughout the summer.
