Free Family Activities

During the summer school holidays we have a range FREE activities!

Free Family Swimming

With lots of hours of FREE family swimming across the city’s pools, what are you waiting for?

Sessions are scheduled on weekdays, evenings and weekends to cater for every family’s busy schedule and we’ve made it easier with no proof of eligibility checks or documentation needed. Just come along with the kids, get your free Pay As You Go card, and get swimming. 

  • Up to five can swim free together* (e.g. up to 1 adult and 4 kids OR 2 adults and 3 kids)
  • Adults attending without children are required pay the normal swim price
  • Children over 8 and under 18 years can swim unaccompanied

Free Courts

We’ve got lots of FREE family court sessions this school holiday – a great chance to enjoy badminton, table tennis or pickleball together.  The sessions are designed to give every child the chance to stay active and enjoy fun, healthy activities during the break.

(Adults attending without children are required to pay the normal court price.)

Games Time Festivals

Celebrate a Summer of Fun with sporting activities across the city as we build the excitement for the 2026 Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow. 

Our FREE Games Festival are a great opportunity to visit our venues and bring communities together through sport and play. 

Come along to try a variety of sports and games, take part in fun fitness challenges, enjoy inflatables, and even get your face painted. There’s something for all ages.

Events take place from 11am to 2pm and are perfect for a family day out!

  • Fri 31 July: Glasgow Club Springburn 
  • Thu 6 August: Glasgow Club Maryhill (Additional Support Needs event. Activities are delivered with a reduced capacity, no music and lower levels of lighting)
  • Fri 25 September: Glasgow Club Bellahouston
