Padel
Come for the game. Stay for the banter.
We’re excited to welcome padel to Glasgow Club Scotstoun, with three brand-new padel courts opening soon, and everyone’s invited.
Fast-growing, fun and incredibly social, padel is one of the easiest sports to pick up and enjoy. Whether you’re brand new to racket sports or already love to play, padel is all about movement, connection and feeling good.
What is Padel?
Easy to learn. Fun from the first hit.
Padel is a social racket sport played in doubles on an enclosed court. It combines elements of tennis and squash, using solid padels and a softer ball, which means rallies last longer and the game feels more forgiving.
The walls are part of the game, so the ball stays in play more often. That makes padel:
- Easier to learn than tennis
- Less physically demanding to start
- More inclusive and enjoyable for beginners
Most people are surprised how quickly they’re playing proper rallies, often within their first session.
A Game for Everyone
No experience needed
Padel at Glasgow Club is designed to be:
- Welcoming: all ages and abilities encouraged
- Inclusive: play at your own pace
- Social: always played in doubles
- Low-pressure: smiles matter more than scores
You don’t need coaching experience, special skills or elite fitness. Just bring yourself, a few pals, or come along and meet new people.
This is a sport where:
- Beginners feel comfortable
- Friends and families can play together
- Confidence grows naturally
- Fun comes first
