How to use a waitlist when activities are full

How do waiting lists for bookings work?

NOTE: We're testing waitlists for G-Cycle, Yoga and FT Fit classes at Emirates Arena ONLY. We'll look to extend this to more venues and classes once we understand how well it's working.

IMPORTANT: If you make waitlist bookings with our app you must enable notifications from the app or you won't know when a space is available and you'll be blocking other members from getting a space in the class. Please cancel your waitlist booking if you change your mind.

If a space becomes available, there isn't time to contact everyone individually and check if they still want it. Everyone on the list is notified at the same time. The first to click "book" gets the space. You'll be notified immediately whethere your booking was successful or not.

  • Booked a waitlist space in our app? You'll be notified via the app.
  • Booked in person, by phone or our website? You'll be notified by email.

Emails are sent every 30 minutes. App notifications are issued within seconds of a space becoming avaialable.

You MUST enable notifications for the Glasgow Club app or you won't see alerts about new spaces. If you've switched these off because you get too many unwanted notifications you can easily change settings so you ONLY hear about things you want

Only those booked onto the waiting list are notified of spaces and others can't claim a space until the waiting list is empty so if you no longer want to attend, please cancel your waiting list booking.

To cancel your waitlist booking:

App users - Tap 'My Bookings' (or Account > My Bookings), tap the activity you're booked into then tap 'Cancel'

Computer users

Either:

  1. Follow the link in a waitlist email to head straight to 'Manage Bookings' online.
  2. Find your booking in the list
  3. Click the 'bin' icon to cancel it
  4. Click 'Confirm'.

Or:

  1. Log into online booking
  2. Click 'My Account' at the top-right
  3. Click the "Manage Bookings" tab
  4. Find your booking in the list
  5. Click the 'bin' icon to cancel it
  6. Click 'Confirm'
