We understand how frustrating password issues can be. Below are the most common reasons members may have trouble signing in or updating their password, along with simple steps to help resolve the issue.
Before you get started - if you're using the App, the essential step to complete after you've rest your password is to log out of the app so it's not trying to use the OLD credentials and then log back in again with your new compliant password.
To do this in the app
-
- Tap ☰ Menu (top-left)
- Tap 🤵 Accounts
- Tap "Sign Out" (bottom)
- Tap "Sign In" (bottom)
- Log back in again with your new compliant password.
1. Check your password meets the requirements
Your password must include:
- At least 8 characters
- One uppercase letter
- One lowercase letter
- One number
- One special character (such as ! @ # ?)
Each password must also be unique to one Glasgow Club account. A password already linked to another account using the same email address cannot be reused.
You can tap the eye icon at the end of the password field to check what you’ve entered. This can help confirm whether Caps Lock or Number Lock is affecting your password.
2. Enter your password carefully
When creating a new password, please type it manually rather than copying and pasting. Copying and pasting can sometimes add hidden spaces or characters, which may cause the system to reject the password.
3. Check for saved passwords
Many phones, tablets and browsers automatically fill in an older version of your password that has been saved previously. Even if you have set a new password, your device may still be entering the old one, which may no longer meet the current requirements.
4. Clear saved passwords if needed
Check whether your device or browser is set to automatically save and autofill passwords. You may need to follow the instructions for your specific phone, tablet or computer to find and remove any saved Glasgow Club passwords.
Once these are cleared, you can reset your password to one that meets the current requirements and save it again if you wish. This helps ensure your device supports the login process going forward.
5. Try another device
If problems continue, we recommend trying to reset your password on a different device or browser. This can help identify whether the issue is linked to a specific device.
